That sounds absolutely great but do you have a source? I would love to share this info but I want to make sure it's accurate before providing people with potential dead ends. Thanks!

To clarify, regarding Western Europe, only Italy has responded to my request since we will be residing there temporarily, aside from the Eastern European countries I mentioned that also let me know they would accept a transfer. I should’ve stated that it’s likely to try reaching out to Western European embassies for those that wish to do so. Obviously, I won’t be reaching out to every European embassy 😂 I basically emailed the Naples embassy and they responded they would accept a transfer of my fiancées case once in the NVC stage. Keeping in mind these requests are case-by-case basis.

Has any of the embassies said anything about the lack of having a police report and orginal birth certificate?

Unfortunately, not. I haven’t inquired since we were lucky to get these documents prepared just before the invasion, so my fiancée has her police certificate already and birth certificate. I would say it wouldn’t hurt to reach out to the embassy you plan on using via email and finding out. They have all responded to me within a day at most(Italy, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania.)

Here are the addresses I corresponded with to receive my transfer request inquiries:

- Italy(Naples)

IVNaples@state.gov

- Slovakia(Bratislava)

Bratislavaiv@state.gov

- Poland(Warsaw)

ACSWarsaw@state.gov

- Romania(Bucharest)

visasbucharest@state.gov

- Hungary(Budapest)

Wait, seriously?? Ugh this makes no sense. They should get their senators/congresspersons involved as that will put more pressure to get the approval.

Paging @Julichka to this thread. They're an April filer who weren't able to get an expedite. Hopefully the people in this thread can lend them a hand. If I'm not mistaken, they were told to pursue a humanitarian visa, which seems... off. I believe @millefleur, you posted a screenshot that expressly said US does not have refugee visas, correct? The whole thing seems highly suspect.

Currently, there is no U.S. plan for refugee status for Ukrainians, only temporary residency for Ukrainians here already.

The expedite process that has happened already with others, including myself are expedite requests for standard petitions. As far as I can tell, expedites have started getting approved as early as Feb 28, when the war started getting worse. Maybe they can try again if it was requested before this time? As I’m a May filer and just got approved along with others who had much later files as well. Best of luck!

Edit: I found the thread you referred to. Definitely sounds strange when put up against the others who have gotten approved. Some, including myself weren’t even asked for evidence. Just a quick phone call to USCIS.

Correct, that's why I thought what USCIS said to @Julichka was so strange... they filed I-129F and their recent expedite (after the war begun) was denied, no evidence was even asked. Perhaps the person on the phone had the wrong information. Like I said before, war was never a valid expedite, so there could be some confusion.

Uscis didn’t explain why they don’t wanna expedite my case. Probable I will move to Canada because they are more nice to Ukrainian people and I will wait for k1 there.

Possibly. The wording I used specifically was humanitarian reasons due to the events happening in Ukraine and the reaction from the employee was basically “say no more” as it’s obvious what’s happening in the news.

Yeah, I copy/pasted from the Warsaw Embassy site where it specifically says:

https://pl.usembassy.gov/visas/humanitarian-assistance-and-visa-information-for-ukrainians/

Quote

If you are seeking information about immediate humanitarian assistance in Poland:

  • There are no visas for refugees for travel to the United States.

This is so strange and I'm really sorry to hear they turned you down. It could have been maybe just one USCIS worker who didn't get the memo/is out of the loop?

I filed an expedite on March 2nd through my Congressman's office, they had me complete some forms, then they submitted it to the Congressional liaison at USCIS with the congressman's backing on it.  I hope that helps.  They said give it some time to process and hopefully hear something soon on it's status.  After approval (NOA2), it goes to NVC, and then off to whatever Embassy we want, we just have to let NVC know where to send after it arrives at NVC.   Also war, due to humanitarian reasons, was a valid reason to request an expedite, at least on the form I was shown by the Congressman's staff on requirements.
