Hello All,

I'd like to first thank all of you for your efforts and help you've given so many people through this forum. I am very grateful for the help.

My question today is regarding the spousal visa/CR1 interview. Our I-130 petition was approved back around October 2021, NVC created case number, and I submitted all documents around November 27th 2021, and they're pending review as of today. My problem is that my wife is from Togo, but has been residing  in Paris-France on a student (Titre de sejour) for the past 5 years, which just expired today. She already made an appointment to have the (titre de sejour) renewed but was denied for not bringing an important document. So, my wife is now in the process of obtaining another appointment, in the hopes of renewing her (titre de sejour). Meanwhile NVC is getting close to reviewing our documents and sending it to the US embassy in Paris, which the case was already set to be sent to based on her residence there or whatever.

My question is will my wife still be able to interview at the US embassy(consulate) in Paris without proof of French residency (IE her titre de sejour) ?, or will I need to request for her case to be transferred to the US embassy(Consulate) in Togo?

Thank you in advance.

She has already provided any evidence she needs to interview in Paris.  However, her visa issues may or may not cause an issue with French immigration officials.  An overstay is what it is and the consequences from the French will be what they will be.

Hello,

I was wondering if immigrant visa interview can be completed at the Paris embassy, if I am currently not in legal resident status. My wife is currently awaiting her immigrant visa interview there, and her French resident card just expired. She is currently going through the processes to have it renewed, but she may not have it renewed in time for the interview as her she is awaiting a court date to dispute the decision related to her French resident card. Please somebody help me with an answer.  Thank you.

She should ask the Consulate
