Vaccinations

Hi everyone,

Me and my fiance are working on getting a K1 visa for me, and I was wondering if I have to get vaccinated prior to entering the US.

We read online that I didn't have to get them until AFTER I went to the states.

I called the Embassy here in Japan and they told me I should get them before going in for my interview in Tokyo. I was wondering if there is an official site or page that I could print out to prove that I don't have to get the vaccinations now?

It'll costs about $1,000~$1,500 more if I have the vaccinations done here.

My fiance is Japanese and I lived in Japan for 15 years. I never had to pay that much for any shots. My kids went to Japanese public schools and I never had to pay that much for anything that they needed for school (except uniforms :-) ) Did you mean that you're required to pay 1000 -1500 yen per shot? That would seem more along the lines of what they would charge (between $8-$12 depending on the yen rate)
