K-1 DS-160/Interview Question

Sorry in advance for this super technical and specific situation.
 

My fiancé submitted the DS-160 online and printed off the confirmation page in preparations for the interview(good). When she scheduled the interview, she received an interview confirmation.(good). In that confirmation letter for the interview, it displays a DS-160 confirmation number from her B-2 VISA Attempt from 2020, it does not show confirmation number for current DS-160 for K-1 in which we just applied.(bad)

 

There has been absolutely no option to enter any type of DS-160 confirmation number when scheduling the interview. By chance as anyone ever ran into a situation like this?

P.S. We submitted feedback to the embassy and will attempt to give them a ring tomorrow to see what they say.

^^^ That is fairly common, many others have had the same issue.   Truly nothing to worry about, the confirmation papers you have now will be what they will use to look at the current DS-160.

My case was IR1 so I did not need to schedule my interview online.  But I could not register my delivery address properly due to having my DS-160 number (from my B2 visa application years ago) showing up where my new DS-260 number was supposed to be.  To fix it, I called the USEM call center number (dialled many times before I got an agent on the line).  The agent made some changes on the system, then told me to try the steps again.  I was able to proceed with the registration process after that.

Hey thank you Hank and Chancy! My Fiance called USEM and they changed the number for us!
