hi everybody..just have some question..i know some needs a simple understanding but i just want to make sure before we file our papers...all your answers, comments and suggestions will all be appreciated..thanks in advance...

first: i just want to know it do you really need to have a cover letter for the appication of K1 visa?

second: one of the requirements are the birth certificate and passport of the petioner...is it only the copy of each or the original one? i know theres no problem with the birth certificate coz you can always get one but how about the passport? if just a copy will be needed, which part of the passport are we need to photocopy?

third: on the part of proof of having a relationship me and my fiance have been talking for more than 2 years and i have saved every chat (yahoo/msn)/emails (do we need to print it all?), receipts, cards he sent me and i sent thousands over thousand of emails, pictures, special presentation, ecards, cards and mails through snail mail...do we need to send it all just to prove the relationship and not to get a request for more evidence? does it need to be original or photo copy will be accepted?

just that for now...i hope someone will enlighten me in regards to these...thank you so much...

are you still starting for your k1 process?

what we did before was since we didnt file it personally (someone helped us to arrange our papers), he made a cover letter on what are the things/docs that we submitted (in order)...

passport doesnt need to be original but just a copy of the first page like his info, and the page where the custom/immigration stamp his passport as an evidence that he was been to phil. (travel stamp)...

since its not yet you're interview i believe, all you need to pass is just a limited copies of emails (maybe 4-5 pages) chats logs (3-5) snail mail if there's any (at least 3) photos together with you and your family (at least 4) and plane stubs/ticket, hotel receipt if he still has it ...

birth cert. may not be original too since i submitted the copy one lol. (but bring original to the interview), passport pic...

im sure you have read the k1 guideline so i wouldnt put something more that you know already. lol...

just my opinion base on what we did before.

God bless

Yeah it needs to have cover letter, other documents..its ok if it is copies only...leave the originals to ur fiance. Just have 5 pages of emails and 6 pictures, phonebills are sufficient. That was the only proof they'd asked from me. Just be confident in the interview..telling them about ur relationship would be ok.Goodluck!
