Hello, my fiancé and I are starting the K-1 visa process.

He is from Jamaica but is currently living in England. We recently met up in Jamaica. He  is going to mail to me:

One color passport-style photograph

*Intent to marry letter

Copy of passport page with Jamaica stamp entry

Copy of Boarding ticket

*my question is, for the intent to marry letter: does it have to be printed on specific paper? Do I submit any evidence with the letter?

thank you!!

You can print the intent to marry letter on ordinary 8.5x11 paper.

So that is an interesting question.

You don’t have to.  I included a copy of the beneficiary’s goverment issued photo ID (her passport photo page which has her signature).  Not because I had to but because it seemed like a good idea to me.

In retrospect because that signature matched the signature on her intent to marry letter and because her image from her passport photo page  resembled  the separate 2x2 photo of her, arguably it gives the intent to marry letter more authenticity.

you know, i did the same thing with mines.. ( not that i had to but i thought it would match the signature as well) sometimes it the little thing that get over look.  i did exact same thing with the letter of intent.

I even got my letter notarized and she got her intent letter notarized as well.
