Then u will need the IRS transcripts to verify your income

and NVC will look at your actual income / not the business income

if your self employment is with one contractor,  he should have given u a 1099 NEC

if you work completely for your own (multiple jobs)  then the IRS transcripts are needed

Huh? NVC and more importantly, the Consular Officer will "look at" everything but the income number used from a personal tax return is the "Total Income" line.  For a small business owner (sole proprietor) that's going to be the income left over after deducting business expenses.

This person's "actual income" .....IS...."business income".  Business "income" and business "revenue" are not the same thing.

No W2 or 1099 is needed for this kind of business income and a complete tax return will work just fine.  IRS, USCIS, NVC, and Consular Officers tend to believe that if a business owner is willing to pay income tax on their claimed income, that's all the verification needed.  This is especially true if the income from tax returns for the past three years is reasonably consistent.

NO, that's not what you said.  In this case, business income IS personal income.  Revenue and income are not the same thing.  Income is Revenue minus expenses.  This person's "actual income" comes from the same line of the tax return, yours does.
