Hello, I hope someone can help me. I found an interview for my mother for her IR5 Visa, it's going to be on March 4, but the latest medical slot is on March 7; what do we do? should we call and ask the SLEC for her medical schedule? Can we request to give her a spot before her interview? Please help. Thank you

Hello.  My take, cancel March 4 embassy interview.  Keep SLEC.  Wait for another embassy interview slot at least a week after medical.  Interviews opens up from time to time.  You can reference in the FB I gave you, they are fast to help there.  They share their experiences too.

As of Sep 2021, SLEC allowed walk-ins after 12 noon.  No idea if they still do so, but it might be worth trying before cancelling her visa interview booking.  Just make sure she doesn't line up for walk-in earlier than 11:30 am because if she does, she will likely be turned away by the SLEC gate guard.
