Nigeria is country of origin and we are filing for Spousal visa. Thank you for your quick response.

Yeah, no. Nigeria is a high fraud country and cases are heavily scrutinized. Focus on spending time together

Looks like a 7 day quarantine, but he can visit....

Travellers to Nigeria must upload documents to an online Nigeria International Travel Portal. Travellers must complete an online declaration form and upload a copy of a negative PCR COVID-19 test, and book post arrival tests via the online portal. Once you have done this, you will be issued with a “permit to travel” via the portal.

The following protocols are in in place for to Ntravellers to Nigeria:

  • All travellers arriving in Nigeria must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result conducted no more than 48 hours before departure. For passengers with multiple connections before arrival in Nigeria, the PCR test must be valid within 48 hours of boarding from the first point of departure.
  • All travellers are required to do a COVID-19 PCR test on day 2 after arrival.
  • Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated (1 dose only) travellers are required to self-isolate for 7 days and to do a COVID-19 test on day 2 and day 7 after arrival in order to exit isolation.
  • All outbound travellers departing Nigeria must present evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 PCR test conducted no more than 48 hours before departure. This must be done regardless of the entry requirements of the destination country.

Information on COVID-19 travel protocols for Nigeria, and access to the online portal, can be found on the COVID-19 microsite of the Nigerian Centre of Disease Control: https://covid19.ncdc.gov.ng/ . If you are unsure if you have followed the protocols correctly, we advise contact your airline before travelling.

My spouse is vaccinated and he has visited Nigeria about 2 to 4 times a year since we first met in 2014. With a pause in 2020.

So I don't know what your husband is talking or worried about.

Currently, since your husband is not vaccinated, he will have to test 48 hours before travel. 2 days after arrival and 7 days after arrival.

If vaccinated, he will only have to test 2 days after arrival.

Vaccine status and pretravel test result needs to be uploaded to the nitp portal
