Typographic error in EAD

Hi,

I am in the US on a F1 student visa and will be done with my college in Feb 2022. I applied for an Employee Authorization Card and my OPT start date is 03.01.22.

I received my EAD today (02/17/22) but there is a typographic error there- they wrote my DOB as '01 JUL' instead of the correct '07 JAN'.

I have 2 questions in this regard, if anyone can help-

1. Am I still good to start working from 03.01.22, which is my original OPT date?

2. How long does this process of replacement take, and do I have to wait till I receive my corrected EAD to be able to work?

If someone else has gone through a similar trouble, please enlighten me any tips on how to deal with this.

I am holding a job offer right now that I am unable to accept due to this mishap.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance :)

I'd assume you listed your bday in DD-MM-year format and uscis read it as MM-DD.

I'd say you can use the OPT for your job as you are issues with the card just with some mistake. Get the job and the apply for replacement, it may take several months. Make sure you put your birthday in MM-DD-year format.
