Hi Guys,

I realized that our timelines are going to vary wildly depending on which service center our applications were sent to. Thought I'd start something for Vermont (EAC). I submitted my I-751 in July 2021, so trying to get a sense of how much longer I have to wait. Looks like another 5-6 months?

Timeline

I-751 times are heavily influenced by local office workload.

Example:  We filed my wife's I-751 in March 2019.  We have been waiting for an interview since May 2019...Dallas

Wow. That's a long, long wait. I knew Dallas office had a backlog. Didn't expect it to be this extreme. Have you approached your Congressman or Senator for assistance?

I believe this would only be an issue for cases that get selected for interviews, no?

Yes. Very likely. I'm EAC Jan 2021 filer here. My case was approved on Jan 25 2022.  Your case processing could take longer if your designated local office is backlogged.

Assuming you came in via K-1 with biometrics waived and no interview this time around June-ish... or soon thereafter... seems about right.  Give or take a month or two.

EAC is currently reporting 11-16 months.  More streamlined cases are probably closer to the 11.

We're October 2021 filers so 1/3 the way in hopefully.  We are K-1, biometrics waived.  Anticipating no interview this time around as we had all that during the AOS step.  Hoping I am right.

So enjoy your spring.  On the other side of it you could very well see significant movement.  🙂

I filed my I-751 March 2, 2021 with EAC, had my biometrics waived in April, had previously an interview for AOS came on K-1 visa. Anticipating also no interview this time. Close to a year, just waiting now…

Any news with EAC?

06/11/21: Package sent to Vermont center.
06/14/21: Case was Received.
06/17/21: Receipt notice arrived, 18 month extension.
09/11/21: Notice of biometric appointment for 10/06.
10/06/21: Biometric appointment.
10/08/21: Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken.

Nothing since (4.5 months).

I had an AOS interview the first time around, but i do anticipate another interview this time around as well since i applied as a waiver after divorce.

Doesn't seem like much is going on for EAC filers. I've had radio silence since I got a 24 month extension like 4 months ago. It's strange to not hear anything from EAC filers because it covers one of the biggest metro areas in the country--NYC, Boston etc so you;d think there would be a lot of applicants.

I'm still waiting

Filled 01/22/21 - EAC

Biometrics reused 03/10/21

No updates since March 2021.

Last month I applied for N-400

N-400 - 01/23/22

My field office is Saint Albans - VT

Biometrics reused and says wait time is 12 months. No further updates in my I-751, some people get their cases transferred after applying for citizenship but that did not happen to me.
