Hello,

I was filing the 130a for my husband, I am a US citizen and he lives in India so I figured It would be easy if I just type out the form. But my question is, do I sign it or does he? If I do, do I fill out the preparer info?  I'm also confused on part 4 spouse beneficiary statement if I'm filling up the form for him, do I need to click on that I can understand English and I hav read on his behalf? I'd really appreciate a response.

You should do some reading before filling out any forms.  Please study the guides here on VJ.

As the petitioner, the petition is done by you.

If you are filling out i130A on behalf of your spouse, you do not sign on the beneficiary signature. You can fill out and sign the preparer section.

You can't leave them blank. Pretend you two are together reading the form but you filling it out. If your beneficiary is good in English, you can check that.

Yes but 130A is for the spouse and 130 is for petitioners

Jorgedig should have suggested reading for form instructions.  When you do, you'll have the answer to your question, AND the answers to questions you haven't thought to ask. Become an A-Student of form instructions.  It will be absolutely critical to your ultimate success.
