The onus is on you to demonstrate your unwillinglness to get vaccinated based on some sort of verifiable religious dogma (highly unlikely) or bulletproof moral objection (most difficult.)  This is where having a Lawyer would help to wade through the legalese and come up with better arguments.

Good Evening!

So the Immigration officer who interviewed me and my U.S Citizen spouse saw on my DS -3025 that I didn't take any single shots from my vaccination sheet. He asked me why and I told him that it;s because of my relief. To make the story short? He printed a Request for Evidence 2 pages letter and he put there that I should file Form - 601 based on my Religious Belief. Now, I just wanted some knowledge and opinions of people who undergo same situation as I am. We can't truly afford hiring a lawyer so I ask help here. I am confused about who will fill up the Form-601 and what other documents I may include before sending my packet.

Your option, you get shots, you go to the US no shots, you don't go to the US.

It's not black or white. There is an option for waivers. Whether we agree or not with the decision of not getting vaccinated is a whole other story!

I believe pt is in the US, needing a waiver for AOS.

If you require a waiver in this situation are you allowed to work after the interview?

I know you do not have to leave the US but what type of status are you under and what are you allowed to do?

I assume leaving the country on vacation is out of the question as the US requires visitors to be vaccinated.

You need to write a concise statement on why you morally (or religiously) are opposed to all vaccines. You must show proof such as religious doctrine of your specific religion as to why vaccines are not allowed. Your user name could be a starting point but you need to show it is a tenant of the religion not just a personal belief of yours.

The US govt has to ask:. Is it worth the risk of allowing someone who might spread a disease (for which there are vaccines proven effective) to the population to allow this person to live in the US. An example would be a person who tests positive for tuberculosis refusing treatment but wanting to immigrate. The US govt would say no visa for you.

Greeting! Everyone. This post is about Form I-601 Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility based on Religious Belief.

I would like to ask question about what are the Requirements or other Documents I can submit except the Form I-601 itself? I've seen and researched and I even joined some I-601 group however not all of them can relate about my case. I opposed vaccination to be straightforward. I haven't took any shots. As in ZERO shots. I just want my other brethren here to help me or share their experience and opinions. I am slightly confused about filling up my Form I-601. Am I the one to fill up the form? Or my U.S Citizen Spouse? We are doing Adjustment of Status. Can you all help me about other documents I need to include? Thank you very much!

I hope this video help you.
