form i-601 FORM I-601, WAIVER based on RELIGIOUS BELIEF

Greeting! Everyone. This post is about Form I-601 Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility based on Religious Belief. 

I would like to ask question about what are the Requirements or other Documents I can submit except the Form I-601 itself? I've seen and researched and I even joined some I-601 group however not all of them can relate about my case. I opposed vaccination to be straightforward. I haven't took any shots. As in ZERO shots. I just want my other brethren here to help me or share their experience and opinions. I am slightly confused about filling up my Form I-601. Am I the one to fill up the form? Or my U.S Citizen Spouse? We are doing Adjustment of Status. Can you all help me about other documents I need to include? Thank you very much!

I am not aware of any Religions that oppose vaccinations so you would no doubt be applying under moral conviction?. If there is a Religion then you would be able to document their stance.

 

The waiver application is filed on Form I-601, with fee, together with a sworn statement from the applicant articulating the exact nature of his or her sincere religious belief or moral conviction against vaccines, and how those beliefs would be violated or compromised by complying with the vaccine requirement.

Good Evening! 

So the Immigration officer who interviewed me and my U.S Citizen spouse saw on my DS -3025 that I didn't take any single shots from my vaccination sheet. He asked me why and I told him that it;s because of my relief. To make the story short? He printed a Request for Evidence 2 pages letter and he put there that I should file Form - 601 based on my Religious Belief. Now, I just wanted some knowledge and opinions of people who undergo same situation as I am. We can't truly afford hiring a lawyer so I ask help here. I am confused about who will fill up the Form-601 and what other documents I may include before sending my packet.

Problem with the waiver because of religious beliefs is that you would have to show that the religious leader of your faith is opposing vaccinations. If you can't show that it might be a problem that's why it was mentioned earlier that you should go with the moral conviction. 

These waivers can be very tricky that's why it is always a good idea to get an experienced lawyer for it who knows how to word the thing.

You may want to reconsider the lawyer.  This is out of DIY realm.

No religion officially opposes all vaccines. Good luck with this.

It is absolutely hard to understand if a person only knows that a belief can only base through man made religion. So for everyone to understand? I'll use the word nondenominational. we observe TORAH, we read Bible. We believe that YAHUAH exist and YAHUSHA HAMASIACH will soon come.But we do not believe that we needed a structural church to be save and this is why it's complicated for everyone to understand. We do not go to church I read and observe the feasts of YAH. But we do not believe in religion.

Lemonslice We do not have leader. We are all simply brethren who shares knowledge. We do shabbat gathering and yes I asked for their help too.

All of that is irrelevant to the fact that the burden is on YOU (not USCIS) to demonstrate evidence that your religion opposes vaccines.   A lack of structure will, in my opinion, make that next to impossible.  If you do not have written, documented, well-established teachings, doctrines, dogma etc, then it really is more of a personal belief than a religious exemption.

 

I would have a plan B in the event of a denial, with or without a lawyer.
