Hi everyone, I just found this excellent resource. Wish I'd seen this at the time of filing. I filed i130 for my parents online, on Feb 7, 2022. Got the NOA1 the same day. Haven't received any updates since then.

We then filed AOS I485 on May 11, 2022, and marked it for concurrent processing.
In November, got an RFE for i864, since I'd mistakenly filed it using an expired version of the form. No progress since then.

I'm wondering, will the RFE move the priority date to the RFE date? Other than that, waiting for an approval on the i130, hopefully soon.

How did you mark your 485 for concurrent processing? Is there anything on the 485 application that says concurrent processing?

Your parents live abroad?

My sis-in-law filed for her parents in April and we're still waiting for a reply. Was she supposed to file I-864? I thought it was supposed to be filed if the parents were in the USA

I-864 should be submitted at NVC stage, after the I-130 petition is approved.

@sahihe -- this thread and sub-forum is for those going through the visa process for family members living abroad.  The sub-forum for I-130 with I-485 for family members in the US is at https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/130-adjustment-of-status-from-work-student-amp-tourist-visas/ (process questions) and https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/138-adjustment-of-status-case-filing-and-progress-reports/ (timeline-related).

You don't - USCIS does that when they see I-130 and I-485 filed about the same time.
