Pending spouse interview overseas, Petitioner naturalized

Hello all,

First of all, thanks for your time.

I have a question regarding my I130 case.

I filed for my husband while being a US Resident 4 years ago, he is currently waiting for his appointment in Mexico, Ciudad Juarez Consulate, since Oct 2020. I recently became a US Citizen and sent my documents to the NVC in case they could update but I haven't received an answer and it's been over a month. Due to Covid everything has been taking longer than expected, we understand it may take even longer, but I'm trying to find another way, at least to be able to visit and see him. I have not stopped working since Aug 2020, nor taken a vacation in order to visit my husband since I'm concerned about affecting the affidavit of support.

We call Juarez and they say NVC has not sent the case, we call NVC and they say they forwarded the case to Juarez and they should schedule the interview. We feel lost.

Is there another way to do this? Now that I am a Citizen, is the affidavit of support still necessary for his interview? Am I able to quit my current job and visit him for a while without affecting his interview and affidavit?

Is there any other way we can handle this to be easier or faster?

I'm scares I might be missing something.

I appreciate you advise.

don't quit your job/ take a vacation or short leave of absence

and use your US passport to see him

and yes ,  affidavit of support is needed for the interview plus the latest tax returns (which will be 2021 soon so your 1040 and W2 (s) as IRS will be taking forever to do this years returns (announced by them)

All of us that applied for spouse or other family member have to provide AOS to show our income
