Hello,

Me and my boyfriend have the project of moving to the US but we are from Europe. Therefore i would like to know if there's any way we can get a visa that allows us to work & stay permanently there? We would also like to know if it's possible to convert a tourist visa to a work permit? Thank you in advance !!

You can find a company that want to sponsor you. For that you and your boyfriend will need to have amazing skills, something that they can’t not find in someone here in the US. What are your current occupation?

Other possibility is to be a investor if you have a lot of money.

It is not possible to just came, apply for a regular job and stay. That is not how works. By the way, use a tourist visa to enter the country with the intention to live here is FRAUD.

If you are high skilled workers you can look for some jobs, apply and if the company can request a work visa for you.

doubtful u would both win the DV lottery

but if u were married and 1 of u won ,,  the other could come

as for work visa,  again for the other to join u if u got a US job,  u need to be married to accompany the other

there is a list of European countries that were eligible for DV lottery to give an example of those that might be eligible for the next one on page 18 and 19

Do you mean permanently or temporarily?   If you just want to see the US and work temporarily, there are seasonal jobs available, mostly at National Parks and other destination places.  For example, Lake Powell Resort in Page, AZ, had European college kids working the summer when I visited many many moons ago.

If you want to permanently move to the US, then it's complicated.  Others have posted the options - employer sponsored visas, investment visas, diversity visa, etc.  You cannot enter the US on a tourist visa or VWP and try to work and live.

Further education sounds your best bet

your best bet is get a college admission on F1 visa. once you get here things are easier. once you finish college there is  a good chance that you could find an employer sponsor you for work permit visa. once you get work permit visa than you can apply for green card.

She doesn't sound like she has thousands of dollars to go to college in the US. If they didn't even try to go to college in their own country, they are not going to give them an F1 visa.
