LOST I-797 HELP!

Hi --

 

I've lost my partner's I-797 and didn't write down the case#. Does anyone know what to do to get another copy?

 

I've been searching but can't seem to figure it out..

Oh ok. I’ll ask the mods to move it to the right forum then. 
when did you file it? 
You should be able to call USCIS , say “infopass” and they put you with an agent. After a few verification questions, agent should be able to give you case number.  You can also request a copy of I-797.

Make 10 copies and keep them in your car, your bathroom, your garage, your pantry lol.

Well, “right” agent is sort of too optimistic lol (been dealing with USCIS quite a while now, can you tell!) but yeah, if you say “info pass” or “technical difficulties” they’ll connect you to an agent.

Alternatively you could try chatting with Emma.

Wait are you the beneficiary of form i751? I think you said it’s your partner. Then they will be the ones having to call.

Also request a copy to be sent to you. You need that NOA in case you want to travel abroad and come back in while your case is being processed.
