Hello. I received a citation (for my dog taking off) & scratching horses on a farm (which the horses never had visible scratches or bleeding or anything but that's beside the point). Fact is this neighbor called the cops after I had gotten her off the property (extremely hated person in the neighborhood for such things..)So now I got 2, citations basically one for 2 different dogs, because I didn't think about not bringing the 2nd dog to get the 1st that took off ..this dog had jumped over the fence the 2nd time I didn't even know she was gone at first. Well long story short a part is paid off & the other is about to be paid off  (trying to do so somehow before the oath). So now that this has happen but I never went to court for it and decided to just pay it..what will happen to me now? Do I need to bring the citations? thank god I still have them or will they deny me? It's making me insane this could have a negative impact 😢. Never had anything happen, this was the only thing 😢

My assumption is that you have passed your interview and are now waiting on the oath ceremony.

If you have the citation plus proof that the fines have been paid, bring these with you to your oath. On the day, you will complete N-445, including question 4 relating to any additional citations received between the date of your interview and the day of the oath ceremony. An USCIS officer will come by to collect & review the form before guiding you into the ceremony itself. You'll just have to see what they say at that point.

Of course you wont think of such a thing, so just saying in the event that others are in the same situation as you; please complete the form truthfully. Otherwise, it might come back to bite you down the road.

Personally, I would answer yes to question 4 and then wait for the officer to say something (maybe she/he wont) before telling the backstory and showing evidence of payment. Just give facts and share no opinions on "hated" neighbours. USCIS wont be interested.

Good luck...please let us know how you got on.

So I had the naturalization today,  I mentioned the citation right away & all they care about are citations violating traffic.
