Sorry for the confusing i

was just wondering how to sort out the proof

I guess passport stamps and boarding passes and  Receipts can go together .

then communicating go separate

like the pic above

since I am mailing it what’s the correct way to protect the documents when sending it.

You would put everything in a big envelope or a box and mail it. The clips will prevent the pages from shuffling around.

You scan these originals  (arrange them in word doc if you like), print them.. it will just like documents, part of your packet, identified by your index.

In preparing your packet, remember:

  • Do not use binders or folders that we cannot easily disassemble.
  • Use fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.
  • Sticky tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. For easy filing, place the tabs on the bottom of the page, not the side.
  • Do not use heavy-duty staples; instead use fasteners or heavy clips.

First, you can submit the I-130 online nowadays.

Second, if you want or need to mail in the petition, try to make it easy for USCIS to place what you send into a bulk scanner.  Any odd size paper or different thickness paper or things taped onto paper will make the scanning process more difficult.

I would use a large clip to hold everything together in one stack.

EDIT:  I would group all the attachments under 1 sticky tab for each category - boarding passes, passport stamps and photos are for "relationship evidence", your passport scan is for "US citizenship evidence", another one for "marriage certificate", etc.

You do NOT....NEED to use Word.

This.  Powerpoint is typically easier than Word if you do decide to scale down and fit multiples per page.  Otherwise, roll with straight scans and annotate by hand.

If you use PowerPoint it’s ok that the pages are not going to be vertical but horizontal

does it matter ?

If you rotate the images to be portrait instead of landscape when you're setting the pages up, no one will know the difference.  Rotate your text boxes, too.  I just put all of our photos in portrait mode (yes, it looked funny when I viewed on the computer) and printed.

Preference is portrait.  My husband found people on a different forum who got RFE's for landscape scans.  It's a real pain in the behind with certain documents.
