When you mail your petition cause we doing it that way. What do you use to keep each file sorted. Like our story with pics, com communications etc

like do you use a clip or something ?

Paper clip, with one big clip or binder clip around the whole package.

two punch whole fastener on top.  separate documents with index tabs.

In preparing your packet, remember:

  • Do not use binders or folders that we cannot easily disassemble.
  • Use fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.
  • Sticky tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. For easy filing, place the tabs on the bottom of the page, not the side.
  • Do not use heavy-duty staples; instead use fasteners or heavy clips.

Old instructions from before they started digitizing everything up front.

Still valid for paper filers.  At the bottom of the page, it has the Last Reviewed date.

Yes, valid, but the tabs etc. and two hole punching are obsolete.  No tabs, and no holes punched works every time it's tried.

Just saying from my last year's experience when I my sent in my I-129 request.  Did exactly as that.  Although, I did not see any scanned document on my USCIS account for it.  Regardless, as long as all documents are  arranged for easy identification, verification, and scanning - it should be alright, I guess.

Absolutely nothing wrong with doing it that way.  I just don't advise tabs and two hole punching because they were never necessary, and NOW, useless.

what is the correct way to put the text log screenshots of our chats on a word doc?

like do we put 4-5 screenshots per month on a page . What if we putting over two years worth ?

I mean is one page one month . So you mean  Almost 30 pages total is that correct ?

I included a couple conversations per month.....in order to show continued communication which spanned the length of our relationship.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
