No live trace delayed interview outcome?

Hello,

My husband had a No Live Trace on his police record so we brought the subject access report with us to his interview this morning that explained his outcome (reprimand) the incident happened when he was 16 years old. He was given a refusal and they want to contact ACRO to get more information. Just wondering what else they could want? The subject access report explained the incident details, the outcome and and how it was disposed if. If you’ve had a similar experience, how long did it take for them to confirm the more details with ACRO? They kept his passport at the interview.

Not same experience but similar. In addition to what you brought my husband wrote a letter of explanation. All of that was turned in with our K1 application. We brought it again to the interview. Given the dreaded denial after interview. Got an email that said they were running another background check. We were in AP about 3 weeks before visa issued.  Seems just to be another check so I wouldn't worry.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We also had a letter of explanation submitted at CEAC and he had to explain what happened at the medical and again at the interview. We contacted ACRO to give consent to release any information to the embassy they might need and ACRO basically said if they already have the SAR (they kept it) it should disclose everything about the incident but they would still be ready to respond and reiterate the same thing to the embassy.
