What is Advanced Parole?

I sent off for my husband's EAD and AOS in September when we got married, but I haven't sent anything for Advanced Parole. I saw it on a few timelines and was wondering, have I made a huge mistake here? Is this something I can fix. Please let me know because I'm on the verge of thinking that we've made a huge mistake and he could be deported. I know that's just my pregnant brain talking with all the hormones, but it would be nice to know if this is pretty bad.

Advance Parole allows you to re-enter the US if you leave while your AOS is pending - not something you need to worry about if your husband isn't planning on leaving the country while you wait for his AOS to be approved. But if you think he might need/want to go abroad at any point while you're waiting (and don't know how much longer it might take - I know you've been waiting quite a while already), you should apply for it (form I-131) before the end of the month if you want to avoid having to pay the extra fees!

It is essentially travel permission for the alien spouse to leave the US and re-enter.

Its no guarantee of entry, but a K1 adjuster should have it before any foreign travel.
