Hi! I think we are in a similar boat. Are you fully DQ’d? Or did they just accept all documents plus the request for the marriage certificate?  Our docs have all been accepted today (re-submitted 7 Feb) but they’ve added a Case RFE asking for husband’s divorce decree.

Yes. because the RFE was the marriage certificate and it says "submitted". The rest are accepted. This is for IR2, my husband's step child, my son. It was not a requirement so I'm quite confused.

What do you think?

That is indeed confusing! You are DQ’d at the very least. Hope to see your updates when you’re able to share them with all of us!

Congratulation 😀... I got DQ today. Pretty much the same thing happened to me. I do not know if i should call it a RFE but yesterday they asked me to upload the entire i864 (i didn't add the last two pages the first time, i thought they were not important while empty). As soon as i got that notification i uploaded a new one. and the submission date didn't change at all. I was so scared about going back on line 😔.

This is my timeline:

Dec 10 : Sub Applicant Doc

Jan 28 : Sub Sponsor Doc

Feb 20: Sub Tax Transcript

March 15: Sub new photographs ( the old 1 didn't meet the requirement after checking online with some apps)

April 10 : Sub new PCC {i was scared that they might ask a new 1 because it should hav been expired after 3 months)

April 18 : RFE to upload a complete i864

April 18 : Sub new i864

April 19: DQ

i know waiting it is really stressful, wish good luck to everyone 🙏

Hi! Was it an actual RFE (where they send a message with Requested FE in the subject line? Also where were you able to resubmit? I presume you couldn’t add it to the Required Documents section, but instead had to upload to Additional Documents?  Thank you in advance!

I still haven't been DQ'd and case was created for Jan. 19. Anyone else still in the same boat?

DQ goes by your submission date of the documents not the case creation date.

Example: case was created Jan 19, but after paying fees, and gathering documents you finished uploading and submitting on Feb 5th NVC would review & DQ based on submission date of Feb 5th.

As @M.Knaebel mentioned, the clock starts ticking after you submit your last documents on the ceac portal, not when you case is created.

It would us if you updated your timeline with submission dates 🙂

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box
01/12/2016: NOA1

Want to say I'm not an expert and this information could be wrong, if anyone who do know please correct me. But with my understanding from what I've read online everyone who receives an approval from a consular officer it's only "tentative" until security checks are passed which is why you'd see a few people with approvals but no Visa's printed in passport. I received a green slip stating to mail my passport to the embassy with my address for collection and it stated my visa will be printed within 10 days from when the passport is received if there are no issues with security checks.

I believe you are never approved right after interview.

Security checks always happen.

Some officers will say you are approved but that is not always correct...
