Submitted my financial documents on January 28th and got an RFE today with two messages:

1. Please submit evidence of income:

I don´t have a job in the US yet and my income comes from foreign sources which I explained in a letter that I submitted. I sent them a statement with my stock portfoliio as proof of assets which more than covered the income requirements but still got the RFE.

2. This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

So it looks like they want a joint sponsor.

By the way, all documents show the status of "Accepted". Does that just mean that they were reviewed?

It seems that NVC has accepted all of your documents and are now in process of scheduling you for an interview but since you don't meet minimum income requirement therefore you have to come up with a joint sponsor before your interview . Good luck

And wow! They’re on Jan 28 already! Wow! Sorry for your RFE

When submitting documents that were RFE'd do you have to upload all the documents then submit all at once? Cause I am trying to submit one of the documents and it is not allowing me. They are both under the civil documents.

What did you file the letter under for "evidence of income".

Was it in the W2/1099 section or another section?

Thank you EmTi. Do you know if there is a thread for Feb submissions? I can only find Jan & March currently.

Also: anyone else nervously awaiting DQ who added documents which might have reset the clock?

Here is February

I really hope you are right but I´m assuming the worst case scenario that we are going to the back of the line once we submit the joint sponsor paperwork :( At least it seems like the NVC is moving along a bit faster lately....

It sounds like all docs were reviewed and accepted but they are asking for additional docs: proof of income (I’m not sure what you should submit on this), and another sponsor.

Yep, it´s super confusing. I actually had lawyers review my paperwork and still got the RFE. It sucks...

I don´t think there will be any documentation of foreign income that will be accepted. We are just going to add a joint sponsor and hope for the best.

I´m actually not sure. The paralegal did this part and as you know it´s tough to see what has been submitted on the ceac site.
