They wanted my husband’s (intending immigrant) US tax return. He does not have one so just wrote a letter stating as such.

No, he has a transfer offer from his employer - so will keep the same job but work for the Us branch - that we used for the I-864 income amount. I didn’t realise that I’d need to provide a statement regarding taxes, W2, etc. in this case. Devastated by the mistake.

Dq today re- submitted documents on January 24.

Original Submission Jan 24.  Received RFE today. It says the marriage certificate and my husbands birth certificate are invalid??? I don't understand why. They are both translated and certified by the ministry. Has anyone else received this mistake?

Did you upload the original AND the translation? 

Always check the visa reciprocity table to check you are uploading the correct document. 

If it is the correct document and NVC made a mistake, you should write a statement saying you've uploaded the correct documents. This has happened to a few people before.

Hoba, just curios: was Jan 24 your very first submission date? Is this your 1st or 2nd RFE from NVC?

1- We submitted our documents 19th of January.

2- We kept uploading whatever “additional” (NOT MAIN) document we thought could be needed until 3rd of March, so you can be sure that it DOES NOT put you back of the line.

3- I wish as smooth of an experience as we had for everyone! We didn’t get RFE or any delay throughout our process.

Do you know if this works for the 2nd RFE too? I mean, if we responded immediately to RFE but then added more docs to Additional docs later?

I have no idea. We didn’t receive RFE.

I want the answer to this too! I really want to add docs but am so worried to. We responded to our RFE on the same day. Now I have 2021 taxes available. They weren’t asked for because it was too early for 2021 taxes back in Feb. but I have them now.

All forms but a few got accepted today.

Our submission date is jan 26th.

Forms from householdmember (husband) of joint sponsor were put in the wrong place so these got rejected.

Resubmitted them but I have a question;

Under proof of domicile I have submitted the 1040 form which has the name of joint sponsor and the householdmember.

Would that be enough? I would think so because it has their adress and names on it.

 

Hopefully this will not put us back in line for another 3 months.
