My husband and I just received an RFE today requesting a copy of his birth certificate. He is Egyptian and we sent a photocopy of his in with our paperwork. The Egyptian birth certificate has the English translation on the left and is in Arabic on the right and lists his parents. He got from the Ministry of Interior CSO before he left. It has the stamps and we made the photocopy so that they could also see the barcode and stamp on the back. Do you think the copy is not acceptable? What should we do? We only have one official original of his birth certificate in America. Thank you for your help.

Did you submit a photocopy of his BC (ONE for EACH) I485, I765 AND I131?

The forms require most documents in triplicate.

Does the Visa Reciprocity website state you have the acceptable version for your country of issuance?
