My wife has been in the US for 3 years now , next month we have the green card interview in San Francisco. I am a US Citizen and we married , now the green card will hopefully be given after a long wait. I have read that as long as we have been married and together for 3 continuous period that we are good to go. My question is at what point can she and my 13 year old stepson apply for citizenship? Can we apply right after she gets her green card or do we have to wait?

You need to read the N400 form. She needs to fulfill all conditions - having been an LPR for three years (starts when you get a green card), having been married for 3 years to a USC, and having resided in the US the necessary number of months. Since she only fulfills two out of three she'll need to wait the three years to apply for citizenship - another downside of doing K-1 visa and AOS process.

https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship-resource-center/learn-about-citizenship/naturalization-eligibility is comprehensive tool for checking eligibility. There are several nuances about each situation and sink my reading the N-400 form or the insurrections is likely to steer you wrong and end in tears.

In addition if she naturalizes before her son turns age 18, possibly he will be a citizen automatically.  Note that people under age 18 cannot naturalize.
