Wrong dates entered on ds261 for dates visiting the US

I entered the wrong dates asking when I visited the us and left within the last 5 years -  and already submitted the ds261.

 

Living in Canada I never had to apply for any visas to visit the states so I didn’t have dates on my passport to look back to. 
 

I have not finished sending in my documents as I’m waiting for my RCMP police check. Can I write a letter and submit it along with all my other documents giving them the correct dates??
