There's a whole group in FB who are in the same predicament as yourself (filed in May 2020 but not heard anything since). They have seen some success in getting interviews after filing a FOIA.

See pinned post. Worth a shot

this post if for new group members who doesn't know what FOIA is.
In most cases it's our alien file (a-file) that's holding our cases. A-file is your entire immigration history that uscis needs to decide on your N400. A-file for most of us is stuck at the national records center due to closures during covid March, April, May months in 2020.
You can request a-file yourself via FOIA (you can read about FOIA here https://www.foia.gov/.) request. There is a theory that it triggers uscis to receive it too and move forward with your case.
When you do it, you need to request the Entire A-File, NOT N400 (see attached screen) .
There are some people who got their interviews scheduled few weeks after submitting FOIA but there's not enough statistical evidence yet that it's really helping.
Again, FOIA has not enough statistical evidence yet but believed to be the only promising action we can take other than lawsuit against USCIS.
Also, this is NOT a professional advise, this is just what multiple people have done including myself.
Good luck to you all, hang in there!

Wow thank you so much for this. I do feel a little better knowing I’m not alone.  Gonna join the group and seek more info for sure.

i will also try and call uscis to speak with a tier 2 agent, even though I’m sure it will be no help.

I am a green card holder since 1990, i applied on Nov 2020 for N400. My interview was not till 17 months later in Iowa (May 2022). So, to answer your question, the waiting time is normal. I was getting the message you said you got. I was also seeing as i login online that my case has certain days for decision and then the days goes down every day and when at zero nothing happened till months later. So the online is not accurate either.

The immigration officer could not decide my case! even after 32 years of green card and three U.S citizen children, she could not decide my case.

Two weeks after the interview i made a change of address to California and i went two months without knowing what is going on with my case.

I then decided to request my File from FOIA. I received a CD of my file, as i searched all the documents, i saw a small phrase in one place that states that my file will be sent to San Bernardino Ca.

I am wondering if anyone knows if now i have to wait all over again or do i jump the line since my interview was already done?

Regards
