London Embassy Interview/Medical Exam

Hi,

 

I have been given an interview at London Embassy for March 1st. I have booked a medical, but the earliest they could get me booked in was February 25th. This is only two working days before the interview. For those who have had an interview at the London embassy, will this prove a problem? I have been added to the cancellation list to try get something earlier, but would I possibly need to move my actual interview date?

Sometimes it is enough, I can't say personally about the London embassy, but don't cancel or reschedule the interview, that will put you back a few months, where if they don't have the medical at time of interview they will issue a 221g asking for it. Show them you already completed it, and it will only add a few days to the process instead of a few months. You will have to go thru AP after the interview anyway, and that can take a few days at the minimum, so your medical will have time to show up at the consulate, and they can complete your Visa when it shows up. When my wife did her K1 she got the results of the medical the next day ( She was able to pick up her copy), and they embassy had them on day 2. She did the medical a week before interview just to be safe. Granted this was Pre- Covid delays.

This has been discussed often in the UK FORUM lately because the clinic has gotten backlogged. Visa Medicals will not have your medical results to the embassy, but you can still interview. Your visa will be “paused” until the medical results arrive.  Carry on and attend both as scheduled.
