So my wife got her 2 year greencard and we plan on flying to another country in a few months.

When I buy the plan tickets online, which one of her names should i use? the green card name, or passport name??

On her green card, her name reads: Jane Smith Doe

On her home country passport, her name reads: Jane Smith Mary

can my wife still visit countries that are restricted to the citizens of her country?? since she has USA green card, can she visit all of the countries a USA citizen can???

Use the passport name. And it would depend on which country exactly you are visiting. What country are you talking about?

I seem to remember Mexico and Canada do.

Use the passport name. As a green card holder, you are not a citizen. So generally you are still restricted by your country's passport with possible exceptions of Canada (you need to apply for a document though if you needed a visa originally) and Mexico. Which country are you referring to specifically?

Probably not since she’s still a citizen of her country and doesn’t have US citizenship.

No, not all. Only 2 exceptions really, Mexico and Canada (with some additional requirements as mentioned above). You’ll generally need a visa for the rest unless citizens of her country don’t need one.

Then she is flying on a Vietnamese passport, so she has to apply for visas as needed for her country of citizenship.
