Adjustment of Status… too late to file?

Hello everyone -

I came to the US back in 2018. Received my 2 year green card in 2020, and it’s expiring in April 2022.

We’re having a baby boy in May (yay!!) and we’re very excited to say the least. However, with preparing for the baby, I still haven’t submitted my paperwork to adjust my status. I think my question here is, is it too late? Am I going to have a expired green card? My passport expires in March as well so I don’t want to be without any current documentation.

Any advise I’d appreciate. Thanks!!

Do you mean filing for removing conditions on your green card (to receive 10 year one)? You already adjusted your status when you received your conditional green card.

Submit your I-751 package prior to the expiration of your Green Card (within the 90 day window).
