One of the paperwork that the petitioner can be prepping is the I-134, Affidavit of Support. File the 2021 tax return so as to have a copy to send in with the I-134. Also, prepare newer photo evidence of your relationship that the beneficiary can take to the interview. Remember the latest evidence of your relationship is over a year old submitted with the original I-129F. And lastly, write a new intent to marry signed by both parties since relationship statuses do change over the course of the delayed processing.

Thanks so much for your reply! I’ll be doing just that!

Let us know! We're getting finalised on the medical and I-134 paperwork so that we have everything ready.

So it appears I cannot register to check what interview apportionment are available as my case is still with NVC but as soon as I can I'll tag you to let you know :)

Hi there! We got our NOA2 on Feb 22nd and still waiting for our case to get to NVC. Just wondering, what documents were you required to have with you for the medical? The internet is not very specific about it. Thanks! 😊

Hey :) so this is the link I'm following regarding the documents I need https://visamedicals.co.uk/united-states/

As for the vaccinations for when you file for AOS in the USA I'd recommend you get those in the UK as you'll save loads of money. In fact I didn't pay for any vaccinations as my gp provided all of those for free.

Vaccinations you need are; covid vaccines, MMR, DTP - the flu shot only if your medical is between  October 1st - March 31st. Varicella isn't routinely given in the UK, but if you tell the doctors you had chickenpox as a child they'll take your word for it.

If you have any other questions just ask, I've just about asked every question and have had massive amount of help from members on this forum :)

Thank you very much! And if there is any chance to know this, what fees are there to pay? I read about one fee when we fill out the DS form and another one for the medical. Is that it? Thanks a bunch! ☺️

you do pay a fee along with the DS160 form before interview can be scheduled.  There is also a fee to be paid when you get your medical.  Those fees are determined by the US so they won't be as cheap as you'd expect from some countries.  In India, the fee is around $200-$250 US.

So if you're in the United Kingdom then the medical will cost £350 for an adult and £140 for a child. And when you're ready to schedule the interview, you pay the MRV fee first and then pick a date = $265. I believe you pay a bit extra if you want your passport delivered back to you or alternatively you can collect it for free at a depot.

There is no fee for filling the DS-160 form :)

Someone correct me if im wrong please!

Hello Everyone at the NVC processing stage,

We got our NVC case number shown in our Timeline.

I got lucky. I called last night around 7pm Eastern time, and got thru in less than a minute.

For those who have not filled out your Timeline, please do so, so that VisaJourney has more accurate data to build the statistics information like

https://www.visajourney.com/times/k1-fiance-visa-historical/

https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php

Without your Timeline data, VisaJourney statistics pages will be less accurate and less useful for all.

Our NOA2 to NVC was about 2 weeks which is less than the average 27 days.

Now that our case is at NVC, the average NVC Processing time is about 84 days,

and the average NVC to Consulate is 6 days,

and the average Taipei Consulate days receiving to interview is 47 days.

So instead of another 84+6+47=137 days, which takes us to the end of July, we certainly hope to be below the average.

So good luck to all. And hope this helps.

Thanks for the post.  I also want to add that having your timeline filled out helps us frantic people when we go looking for timeline stats on individuals similar to ours.  I have looked at so many timelines looking at dates for each step and then specifically to my country.  You never know when you might need it to look up something so as was said above, please keep it up to date.  Have a great day!

Hi everyone! So I see lots of interest in calling NVC for the case number, but does this 'speed up' the process in any way? Will NVC still send out the packet at the earliest time whether or not you called? And is the interview scheduled upon receiving this NVC number or when the packet arrives to the embassy? TIA!

Hi there!  Well, can't speak for everyone, but for me, my main reason for calling is to just know!  My case was assigned on March 4 and I have not heard a word from anyone.  I know eventually the beneficiary gets a packet but that is weeks after the case assignment.  It is nice to be able to log into CEAC and see the status there and watch it change to 'in transit' 'at embassy' etc.  Also, another big thing is getting the DS 160 completed.  You can do that as soon as you have your case # and invoice # (which you get at the same time).  It took us a few days to complete it as we both look it over and help complete it.  You want to make sure that is accurate so they don't reject it.  The DS160 has to be complete before your interview.  And, also, at some point, you can pay your fees.  I want to be able to do that as soon as able to make sure we don't hold up the interview.

NVC ships cases every other week.  Not much we can do while at NVC other than fill out the DS160.  but once it gets to embassy, they will send out a packet (or more depending upon country).  Some people took a chance and scheduled medicals and interview before receiving packet I've read, but most wait for the packet to get to the beneficiary.

Have you called NVC at all yet?  your case should be there based upon your epic NOA2 date!!  Also, where are you having the interview?  are they even doing interviews in Belarus these days?

Hello my friend! Nice to be in a group with you, I was tracking you from January and was happy to see you finally got moved along :)

Thanks for clarifying about the case status. I believe the beneficiary doesn't get a physical packet anymore, correct, everything is handled electronically? In any case, to change the beneficiary's address, I can just call NVC, correct? My fiancee doesn't really have a 'permanent' address after having to leave Belarus, but as she's staying in Poland I would rather her address be somewhere there than a country she can no longer return to.

And yes, to answer your question, Minsk doesn't do immigrant interviews, it's all handled by Warsaw... Minsk wouldn't even open to renew tourist visas since COVID started, just our luck because ours ran out in the middle!
