Oh I'm the beneficiary and no I didn't see that option - I read somewhere that for the London Embassy we pay the fee at the time of our interview? Or perhaps, once we complete this form and once the status changes to "ready" we can then proceed to book the interview and pay the fee?

Haha it's all very confusing but tomorrow I'll have a better view on the computer screen opposed to my phone

It is confusing and every embassy has different rules.  Did you get an email from NVC?  That is supposed to have the instructions.  and wondering how long it took to get the email.

Nope, we didn't get any emails. In fact the lady at NVC told me we would get an email once they send our case, I don't think K1's recieve any kind of email from them apart from once it's sent

Hey, as promised an update :)

So surprisingly the DS form is pretty easy compared to the stress I've had filling in all the other forms haha I haven't seen anywhere to pay the fee, I'm still assuming this is paid before booking or during the interview stage - I'll definitely update once this happens

On another note I have scheduled my medical for next month, all they required was my LDN case number. Im hoping by next month I'll have the physical letter from NVC as I'll need that at my medical

So for now I'm checking my status at NVC daily and finalising our documents for the medical/interview - also we've filled out our AOS forms in advance etc

Any news with your case?

Thanks for the update.  I'm still confused.  I was consulting the NVC website:  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-3-pay-fees.html

it shows pay fees very early on and says there is a letter.  It seems like letter comes first but maybe different for each country.  they don't make anything easy!  I am going to call them later today to see if they assigned a case # for mine yet.  It was received on the 4th so I might be a little early, but I'll call every day now!    Any reason you put your medical a month out?  or was that the earliest?   Very awesome that you are on a roll.  Hoping I am right behind you!  Thanks for keeping us updated.

Hey, I’ve had a look at that site you provided and I think that’s not for K1 visas as we don’t scan any documents, documents we’ve gathered we bring in to the interview. I think that’s for the CR visa if I’m not mistaken.

I hope you get good news today. Some have received their case numbers within days. Mine was created like 8 days after they received our approved petition. The earliest was 1st of April but I wanted to give myself time just in case NVC delayed sending our approved petition haha but I booked it for the 11th of April and they had loads of availability, even time slots.

We just gotta stay positive throughout this experience and hope for the best. You’ll hear good news soon, I know it :) and yeah of course, I’ll update every step of the way.

Haha oh god this whole process has been so confusing but we’re getting there. Yeah, I got given the advice to book it just in case they become fully booked, especially seeing as all I needed was my NVC ref to book it. I look forward to hearing good news from your end soon. I hope you have a wonderful day also :)

Hopefully you got through.  my experience in calling has been holds from 5 minutes up to 2 1/2 hours!  timing is everything.  I think later in day is best or very first thing when they open.

Yes i was on hold for 40 minutes. They said they received my case Monday but they havent had a chance to put it in the system yet.

Have you checked appointment availability for the London Embassy?

My NOA2 is 1st March so a month behind you all but preparing all the paperwork for medical and interview!

What kind of paperwork are you prepping? We were approved on January 28th and are waiting our NOA2; I’d like to get ahead while I can! 🙂

One of the paperwork that the petitioner can be prepping is the I-134, Affidavit of Support. File the 2021 tax return so as to have a copy to send in with the I-134. Also, prepare newer photo evidence of your relationship that the beneficiary can take to the interview. Remember the latest evidence of your relationship is over a year old submitted with the original I-129F. And lastly, write a new intent to marry signed by both parties since relationship statuses do change over the course of the delayed processing.

Hi there! We got our NOA2 on Feb 22nd and still waiting for our case to get to NVC. Just wondering, what documents were you required to have with you for the medical? The internet is not very specific about it. Thanks! 😊
