Hey! Thanks a lot for your input.

So far we’ve booked a medical 5 weeks in advance and we have now received the NVC letter, so we’re all set for that. Just need to get some new pictures for the DS-160 and it is ready to be submitted. I think next week or the following we’ll be able to book an interview date.

Pretty much all documents are finalised for the interview in London! Are you taking anything additional from the list that the embassy has?

Getting closer!

Also, is the picture for the DS-160 form different from the ones we should take to the interview? I’ve read that is must be 6x6 instead of 5x5 (the one for the interview). Just wondering if I need to take a new one or I can use the one I already have.

Cr1 visa i have given interview last week

From what I've read on this forum is that 'refused' means the documents haven't been checked yet. Apparently 'administrative processing' was replaced with 'refused' - nothing to worry about as the status hasn't changed to 'denied'.

Don't stress, just wait until next week and see if the case changes.

I understand you fully.. at this point i don't check my status everyday.. maybe twice a week, that's it. my motto is no news is good news, and from i been told by from people is that i put together my package very nice. I even got some letters notarized, so I'm kinds cool at this point. but i have this thought i been thinking about maybe you might know that answer. I wonder sometimes do uscis check that status of people traveling to see their fiancé ?  what i mean is that, do they check with customs and check and see if their passport have been used ?

Oh god, my plan was to check once a week but that soon changed to daily! Yeah, as long as you did everything to the best of your ability then you have nothing to worry about, and I'm sure everything is fine :)

Hmm I've never thought about that but i dont think they do seeing as they ask for proof of meeting. If they were to check passports then the proof of meeting (airline tickets) wouldn't be needed!

When I submitted my DS form I had to reduce the image size, it didn't accept it at first and then I tried reducing it further until it accepted it!

But I know I had to play around with the size for a bit haha- it accepted it so I'm assuming it's correct!

I took pictures of myself and used a passport app to get the background removed, that same picture I then used on the DS form.

I understand.. my reason,  i been traveling to see my fiancé  since 2020..  and i want them to know as much information about me during this process.. ( I'm almost begging them to check my travels...lol ) So my point is that when i sent them my package in Dec 2021 it included my purchase of ticket for my booking for march 2022... but i'm glad things are working out for you

Yeah that's good, I wanted to wait to book my interview but I panicked and thought what if something happens again (another pandemic haha) so I just bit the bullet and went ahead with everything! But it seems so real now that things move so fast at this stage.

Honestly no, I'm only taking documents that they're requiring, also fresh letters of intent just in case even though our approval won't expire but to be on the safe side!

I heard the London Embassy is extremely easy so I'm trying not to overthink hehe

We're all going to be fine :)!

That makes sense, I’ll send an update as soon as we book our interview – hopefully soon!

Exactly, I’m glad to hear we’re on the same page. Good to hear and share opinions with people that are essentially on same/similar stage as you!

We are going to be fine indeed! 🙂

If I'm honest looking back at our package we literally sent the bare minimum compared to everyone else. Some photos we provided has me wearing sunglasses (had laser eye surgery so needed glasses on) and some were of us in the sunset with our backs turned.. All in all we had like 7 photos of us where you can see our faces clearly! And like two plane tickets.

I also think it depends on the person looking through the packets.

I think if yours is within US 'visa spec' will be fine - you can see the official specs here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/photos.html

I've scanned my US 'visa spec' image and it being approved in the DS-160 system, however in the step before proceeding to the next stage it appears blurry for some reason! It is truly bizzare and will be getting some new digital photos in a studio the next couple of days just to be sure before we submit it!

I used to try and find people going through the United Kingdom as I knew we would go through the same process but I barely found any so now I try and be as active as I can so others know what's to come :)

Similar to loads of people - our case status changed to "In Transit" on Tuesday and "Ready" today :) Just booked his interview for April 27th! His medical (booked on Monday but could have called earlier) is for April 26th, so I know his visa won't be approved the day of but he didn't want to travel down from Scotland to London twice.

Anyone else done it this way for London? Wondering how long it will take until he can fly to the US after the interview.

Hi, once a case number is assigned, how long until it's possible to login via CEAC? I received a case #, but when I login it just shows a generic summary page with something like,

Quote

Summary Information

K visas are nonimmigrant visas that assist spouses or future spouses of American citizens in entering the United States. As with all nonimmigrant visa applicants, a DS-160 must be filled out in order for a consular section to process the case.

Alright, I’ll try to use the one I have already. Thanks a lot!

Our case has changed to “Ready” status, finally!!!

Also, if anyone can please help me, I made the UStraveldocs account without using diacritics on my last name ( I wrote “i” instead of “î”) and then I saw that they say to write your name like in your passport, where there are diacritics, but now I cannot change it on UStraveldocs account. Is that a problem? Any idea how I can change it?

Well done!

Checked our case today and the status is set to 'Ready'! Pretty much it took 4 days from 'In Transit' to get into 'Ready.

Next step is to book an interview with the embassy!
