lmao, wow, after the NOA2 wait a mere delay of 20 days seems like light-speed at this point. Haven't called yet myself as I didn't even get my approval until Feb 15th, but I may today...

I’m so thankful that we’re nearing the end of this process and then be reunited with our loved ones!

Yeah, when you call they’ll tell you that you have to wait 30-60 days but honestly some have gotten it a lot faster. Our case was received in 27 days :) So try your luck, you never know hehe

Thank you! I am trying to be very careful thinking of our "luck": Belarusian border could be closed (from either side) at any time; they could stop issuing US visas to citizens of Belarus; war could break out there. It is very unstable now.

I hope you all get some good updates very soon!

Greetings to all waiting on NVC,

I was notified by Case Tracker 02/18/2022 that our NOA2 was approved,

https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/758635-march-2021-k1-i-129f-filers/?do=findComment&comment=10628984

and the I-797 Notice of Action letter was received in the mail yesterday with Notice Type: Approval Notice and the Notice Date: 02/17/2022 , which is 1-day before my Case Tracker notification. Not a big deal.

However, next to the Notice Type in the I-791 letter has "Valid from 02/17/2022 to 06/16/2022".

Does this mean we need to complete the K1 visa process by 06/16/2022?

That is have the K1 visa pasted into the passport by 06/16/2022?

What happens if our consulate for the interview shuts down like Hong Kong is doing because of covid again?

What is the process to extend the valid period of the I-797?

Thanks in advance for any response.

I called the NVC today and was told our case arrived on Friday (2/26). She said to call in a week to get our case number.

NOA2 was 2/1.

Would you mind posting when you get your case number?

My noa2 was also 02/01 and I was told on 02/22 that they received my case. Called again on Monday and they said that my case was received on 02/23. 😐 Regardless, I was told to wait as they were processing cases received 02/11.

We might get ours at around the same time!

Hi-They usually expect to have K1 complete within the 4 months; however, if it goes beyond, you can get an extension from USCIS - you would have to call them.  I don't think this is a big deal and would be easily obtained.  Good luck

Perhaps you should request to move your visa to another embassy.  I doubt they will stop issuing visas - that wouldn't be right.  It is not the people's fault this is going on.  Or maybe ask for an expedite due to the circumstances.  I know others have gotten it.  Just not sure if you need to wait for it to get to NVC first.  I would call USCIS and ask about an expedite due to your circumstances.    Good luck!  I'm on hold with NVC for the second time today.  I spend hours a day on hold!  lol

I have been tracking NOA2 approvals not received at NVC from mid January to early February and notice that many from January and a few from first days of February are still not at NVC.  So, for all of you from early February still waiting for your case to get to NVC, I might have some good news.  I contacted USCIS via e-request - case beyond normal processing times and got this response:

On 02/23/2022, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-129F, to notify us that you believe your case is over normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.
Our record indiacte your case was transfer to NVC on 02/24/2022. USCIS Is currently experiencing delays with forwarding some approved I-129F cases to the National Visa Center (NVC). We apologize for this delay and any inconvenience you may have experienced. We will forward cases to the NVC as quickly as possible. We appreciate your continued patience.

my NOA2 was January 21.  Not sure why they held it until 2/24, but am hopeful it will arrive soon.  I believe there are a bunch of us from January stuck in that bunch so hopefully we all get good news soon!   You might want to send an inquiry as well if it goes beyond 30 days.  I just said the approval letter stated to contact them after 30 days (it says that on the back).  and they replied in 9 days - not bad!  good luck to all of us!
