Yes, I sent an email to the address that was in the NOA2 30 days after receiving the notice, which gave me an automated message to formally put in an inquiry on their website. I then put in the inquiry the same day. It’s been 2 wks and still nothing

This sucks.  I guess you did all you can do.  You just have to wait for the response on the inquiry.  My journey has been outside of normal processing from the first step all the way through.  Nothing went timely for me.  It has been one big learning to be patient process!  You will get your response soon.  I think I got my response back from NVC somewhere around 2-3 weeks if I remember correctly.  Hang in there.

Hi guys! Just wanted to update you on our process. We got our case number on the 26th and today, 29th, our case changed to “In transit” status. Thank God! Hopefully it won’t be long until it will arrive at the embassy. I better get my forms and fees ready soon.

We’re planning on getting married quickly too. We’re just going to do something very small with immediate family and then get started with the SSN and AOS. I’m not looking forward to more processes, but at least we’ll be together! The K1 was the best choice for us at the time since we didn’t know when travel restrictions would be lifted. We just wanted to get in line. Hopefully, it’s not too much of a pain to get through the rest of the steps.

I didn’t even think of looking into the AOS process yet! I’m glad you mentioned that. That’s such a good idea to start preparing for it now. I’ve been so focused on getting to this point that I wasn’t even thinking about those next steps. It’s not going to be much longer until he’s here so I’ll definitely start that! Thanks!

Hey, sorry for the late response been super busy!

Yeah, start everything now regarding the paperwork as once you get to the US it won't be such a rush, I've filled in pretty much everything, even the SS form haha

Also, I just checked my status and it's now changed to 'ready'! Check your case as it may have changed too!!

YAY! We’re now ‘ready’ too! Hitting each milestone in this process is such a relief. Not much longer now!

Well done both of you!

Ours is currenty 'In Transit' - should we try and book an appointment with the embassy? Should we complete the DS-160 first?

We booked our medical and keen to book the embassy appointment as soon as we can. 😀

I think you have to complete the DS160 first and then you can book it. My guy felt more comfortable waiting until it was ready, so we’re just getting ready to book now. I’ve definitely seen others book while in transit though. So exciting!

I was wondering if anyone here has had any luck finding their package on DHL using the previously mentioned methods? I'm not sure if there are other reference numbers that the NVC is using (seemed like a healthy amount went out).

Yes, @DeeJess was able to get the tracking number for me using the method described. The DHL website wasn’t showing properly for me to be able to input the information. I later found that it worked to locate the tracking number using my laptop, not my phone.

Once I had the tracking number, I signed up for alerts and tracked it on the DHL site until it arrived at the embassy. I received an email from them with next steps the following day. The method definitely works!

The original DHL method worked for me, but I had to use my PC to get the tracking number first. It didn’t work on my phone.
