Hey, I was advised that we didn't need to wait for the instructions for the London embassy so I went and registered, at first it didn't let me schedule an interview but now it has allowed me to pay and schedule the interview. I think the embassy entered my details which then allowed me to go ahead and pay/view/book interviews :)

I'm not sure with Scotland, but give it a go?

Also, mine still says 'in transit' and should be delivered tomorrow

Thanks! We’ll try and see what happens! Scotland actually has to go to London as well so it sounds like we might be in the same batch. So exciting!

You need the case number and the invoice number to start the DS-160.

Huh. Are they generated at the same time, then? Strange how I didn't get both at the same time.

I'm not sure, haha. When I called this morning I asked if they had both numbers and she gave me both. I assume they are created at the same time but unsure if you have to explicitly ask for both.

So I just went to USATravelDocs for Poland, and they let me schedule everything right away - no problem. Didn't even need a completed DS-160, just asked me to make the payment, confirm it was a K1 appointment, and then gave me a list of things after I made the selection. All dates are blocked out from April-June, unfortunately, but I've heard they're reserved right now for emergency situations, so I will give them a call as soon as I can. Luckily, there's a very convenient "reschedule appointment" button on the homepage, so if someone cancels it can be grabbed right away.

Thank you! :)

Ughhh, this is going to be a pain. I'm looking over the confirmation now, and now I see why it didn't ask me for my DS-160 - it automatically entered in the previous one from Romania and never asked me for a new one. I carefully looked over all the steps and it was never asked again, so maybe it's a glitch when it was transferred over (because there was already a DS-160 made)? Looks like a project.

Hi guys! Happy that you’re seeing some progress on your cases ☺️. We're still waiting for NVC to receive our case. But I wanted to ask, how long does it take to receive the payment confirmation before you can schedule an interview? And also, do you get it on your email?

So, at least with Warsaw, I entered the USATravelDocs website the very day I got my case number from NVC and it let me schedule everything. But the problem I have, now, is that it selected the wrong DS-160 and I'm not entirely sure how to change it :( But bottom line, you can pretty much do everything immediately!

Oh, I also don’t know but maybe someone here will help you. Also, what was the reason why you changed the embassy from Romania to Warsaw?

Yeah, what was weird was that when I logged in, it let me go straight through with an application. Nothing was ever asked about my DS-160 until the confirmation came up with the old one written. I think the problem was that I had a B2 application outstanding in Romania, which was never used, and then when I transferred it to Poland this morning, it 'saved' it but didn't show it was still in the system on the dashboard? Very weird. @Jorgedig - you recently mentioned on another thread something very similar happening. Do you have any insight as to what to do besides just cancelling the appointment and trying again?

And in regards to your second question, in summer 2021 the embassy in Romania said they would renew 'any' B2 visa so long as you were physically present in Romania. USATravelDocs, however, didn't understand this was actually a residency requirement. Strangely, a Russian actually managed to renew his B2 in Bucharest, which led to speculation that USATravelDocs was actually telling people the right info (that is, residency wasn't required). I was told by their hotline several times that we could renew, but I got suspicious and emailed the embassy directly who, after a week, got back to say it was incorrect and they'd straighten it out. Very weird, but I do know Russians who nonetheless made the trip.

Hmm, very weird. Maybe you should try calling the embassy in Poland, who knows. Thank you very much for your answer. I am actually applying through Romania so that’s why I asked, I wanted to see if there was any particular issue why you transfered. Got it now. I hope you’ll fix the problem asap! ☺️

Unfortunately I don't, and I'm not sure that it was ever confirmed that having an active B application was the cause.  I'm trying to think of who might know.....maybe @milimelo?

Thank you! I greatly appreciate pinging the other user. My current plan is to keep the 'incorrect' appointment until I get the new DS-160 squared away, so I can then cancel and immediately reschedule for that timeslot. July is incredibly late, but I'd rather July than August. I was just so confused as to why I didn't need to enter the DS-160 confirmation, I got all the way through until the appointment receipt before seeing the wrong one was entered.

How can you schedule?  I thought you just got your case number?  Are you at embassy?

So that's what I'm trying to figure out as well. I can make a DS-160 for the K1, and Warsaw's USATravelDocs portal will (seemingly) let me schedule an interview right away. I know of other Belarus filers who were able to do this similarly before getting to the embassy. My problem is that USATravelDocs pre-selected my tourist visa DS-160 for the K1 interview, which I'm currently trying to figure out how to solve.
