Hey everyone!
I got a case number over the phone. Can I track it now? The rep over the phone said I cant. When you are tracking the case number on nvc are you choosing immigrant or non immigrant? I tried nonimmigrant nothing came up. As for te immigrant option, it said its at NVC and that I should go to CAEC to track it.

Yes, you can track it using the immigrant visa application status tool. When NVC sends to your embassy, the status will change from “at NVC” to “in transit”.

Hello Everyone,

The CEAC tracker shows my case is "Ready".

Does that mean the consulate has our case now?

Am I just waiting for Package 3 now?

Thru email or mail?

I haven't gotten an email notification yet?

Any suggestions of what I should do?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Just to be clear.

The messages that we got from the CEAC tracker were:

"At NVC", then

"In Transit", and now

"Ready".

What should we expect next?

Thanks.

I'm not sure if I'm honest I've tried to Google but can't find anything. Try making a post with this question and let others with much more experience help you

Thank you for that. 0888 is for non-immigrant (K-1s are non-immigrant visas).  I am now on hold.

0700 is for Immigrant, so this makes sense. Sadly, they post a call center time for the 0700 number even though it will never lead to an actual person.  Thanks again for the 0888.

Try calling right before they close, I’ve done this the past week daily and the wait is never more than 5 minutes

Just called, got the case number! 3/8 NVC received, 3/16 (I presume) already processed. Says "at NVC" in CEAC.

Question: is there a difference between case and invoice number, and if so, where do we find the invoice number? I keep hearing reference to both but not entirely sure what the invoice number is or why we need it. Thank you!

Invoice number is like your password for the DS-160. There are clearly marked text boxes for Case Number and Invoice Number on the CEAC or travel.state.gov site. I'm still confused of when one site gets re-directed to another site?

Congratulations!!!  you need to call back and get the invoice number if you didn't get that!  you should start filling out the DS 160.  Yours will probably ship to embassy with next batch on March 29.

Hey guys, just another update!

So I've finally managed be able to book my interview, have to pay MRV first (£205) before booking an appointment. The earliest appointment available was for 18th March :O!! Maybe someone cancelled so that slot is now open?

I haven't  booked the interview yet as I'm waiting on the tax transcript and then will go ahead and book the interview!

This is so awesome! We went in transit on the 15th too. You were able to book before it showed “ready” or did yours already get there?

Hey, I was advised that we didn't need to wait for the instructions for the London embassy so I went and registered, at first it didn't let me schedule an interview but now it has allowed me to pay and schedule the interview. I think the embassy entered my details which then allowed me to go ahead and pay/view/book interviews :)

I'm not sure with Scotland, but give it a go?

Also, mine still says 'in transit' and should be delivered tomorrow

Thank you! I will promptly fill out the DS-160, I managed to get our account transferred over from Romania earlier today anyway. What exactly do I need the invoice number for, do you know? I've heard from some people who have even gotten to the interview stage that it's never referenced again, so I'm not sure how important it is for anything?

You need the case number and the invoice number to start the DS-160.
