Anybody know what is going on with the Philippines retirement visa, and if it will come back anytime soon?

Do you mean SRRV?  That has been back for awhile.

Finally done.

Yes.  I think it used to be 35, and of course, the Chinese abused it.  It is now 50 and over.

Most people in their 30's don't have a pension to meet one of the other requirements.

There is always the 13a, but that visa has certain issues the SRRV does not.

Yes it is.   Being a veteran you have a special visa so big deposits $$$ aren't an issue  .... sadly the 50 years old requirement is there too.

Of course the BB stamp is still there, and that would mean a once a year trip out of the country wife your asawa.

SRRV is back. You have to be 50. Change made to weed out the Chinese gambling interests. 1500 deposit for vets.

Hank is referring to SRRV Expanded Courtesy.  It allows former US military members to only put up $1,500 for the deposit rather than the $10,000/$20,000 required under some of the other SRRV options.

Finally done.
