Our  F2A petition was dq'd in July 2020 and the petition was upgraded to IR1 in May 2021. My question is, how is our petition going to be placed in the IR1 queue at NVC? Are they still going to use the dq date or the date that the petition was upgraded to IR1?

Hey,

Despite the fact that you are located in Ghana, my spouse' case extremely close to you, she was DQ'ed  August 2020, however after I became a citizen, she has been upgraded to IR1 since March 2022.

I have a feeling that Ghanaians .going to US are not up to Nigerians in numbers, (anybody can correct me if I am wrong)  hence the probability of you and your spouse getting a response earlier than us is high.

We are still patiently waiting, I will be on the lookout for you.. who knows, my spouse can come out first or yours, but I will reach out again in 2 weeks for an update.

I wish you and spouse and mine all the best as we wait...

Regards
