HI there,

We submitted our documents at the NVC on October 22nd. We added an additional document on December 9th.

On January 26th, I got a case review note in my message. The message was blank so I called NVC and they said the message is blank on their end too, but that my documents had not been looked at yet.

They said they will be looked at when the NVC is looking at documents submitted on January 26th, 2022.

Having submitted my documents in October and waiting for three months, it seems that I’m once again at the back of the line with no explanation at all from the NVC.

Does anyone know why this is happening? What I can do about it?

I know the case FE note is usually related to insufficient income, but my wife is sponsoring me on the basis of her assets which are more than sufficient (+$100k)

Thanks

Case FE is not just insufficient funds. It can mean proof of income and other things. Submit your W2/1099. We need employment letter. Birth certificate is not authorized. In other words it's their message to you that something is missing or wrong

Did you add all documents to show assets added?

And unfortunately NVC is all over the place with how they process. I am helping a friend she submitted all required documents Oct 19th. Then uploaded another document Nov. 23. She was reviewed Jan 20.  She was checklisted a wrong document was entered so that was corrected and they said her income was low so we uploaded joint sponsor info. Now we wait another 3 months.

Funny thing is when she called NVC and asked them how long she has to wait the person said no it's not another 3 months. Which we know is the norm. Some do get reviewed fast  like  immediately some don't.

How can I know what is missing if nothing is specified? My wife has only started earning income this year (she was a student before), she does not have a tax return and she is contractually employed by international organizations, so they do not issue W-2 or 1099s, she will just have to report her contractual income on her next tax return.

I included a bank statement clearly showing the extent of her assets which are far enough to quality her based on the poverty guideline rule

Submit a signed statement from your wife explaining why she does not have a W2 for the current tax year.
