It's really awesome to get to share those experiences as new.  I have some good times with snow.  My wife's first experience with freezing weather, Santiago Chile in July, the great unexpected shocking moment was..... when she walked out of the hotel in the morning and noticed she could "see" her breath.  She practically hyperventilated in jubilation over that seemingly trivial detail.  The next year in Pyeongchangg Korea in January both mom and daughter picked up snow skiing at least to beginner slope standards in just a few hours.  Children's ski tip connectors were the big secret to success there (for mom too).  I never broke the news to them that Korea apparently has fantastic artificial snow making equipment at their ski resorts, and frigid weather, but I didn't see one flake of natural snow anywhere in January 2019.  The year after that in late February 2020 as Rona was closing down borders all around us, we were in Hokkaido Japan.  When we arrived, Sapporo was blanketed with deep fresh snow.  My wife was quite impressed and looking at a big drift outside our Airbnb finally ask the question that had been troubling her.  "How does the snow get there?"  Later they had those huge fluffy snow flakes actually falling from the sky in real time and it became more clear.  Step daughter was chasing the snow flakes and skipping down the sidewalk in delight until she discovered.... ice.  I got the video of her and if you go frame by frame, she actually goes completely 180 degrees upside down with feet splayed strait out up in the air before in the air before rolling out of it and springing back to her feet declaring she's fine.  Living in San Diego this winter has been tough for them though.  Next week we are going to New York for a couple of days.  That should be fun.

First time ever for them

My asawa was amazed that snow was wet.... She was seriously wondering why her clothes were getting wet when we went up to Big Bear to play in the snow

My wife wants to see, what she calls "real snow" not the light dusting we get here on occasion.

We live in Alabama; where is snows on occasion but not enough to amount to anything. But when it does, it shuts down the entire city.

I guess we will have to take a vacation to Colorado to give her the real experience.

I hope she realizes that it has to be cold for the snow to stay there.

Not much snow in Colorado this year.

We get a little but then it warms up enough for the roads to clear and it to thin out.

Not a good year for those in the snow moving business, I think I have seen the Plows in town 4 times and 2 of those were why bother.
