Moving home halfway through conditional green card

This is a bit of a complicated one and I couldn't find anything similar on here. I moved here almost 3 years ago, got married went through the k1 process and got my conditional green card. But a lot has happened since then and I am almost 100% certain I'm going to move back to Ireland and give up my green card. As hard as it is a lot has happened in my life of late that makes me want to start fresh back home. I'd still like to be able to visit/live in the USA maybe one day if things work out that way but for now I'm just trying to figure out what to do. How do I go about giving up my green card? Do I just let it run out? Will it make it difficult for me to come back and visit people if I do?

There is a form you fill out to surrender your green card.  I don't remember the form # offhand, but I'm sure it can be easily found.

You wouldn't be able to live in the US in future, unless you have a path to another green card.  Visiting would be subject to getting ESTA or a B visa.

Are you still married to the US citizen? When does the GC expire?

Don't do anything right away. You said almost 100% so that is not 100%. It doesn't hurt to go home and give it 6m to a year before surrendering your GC or until it's about to expire.

Living in Ireland you can you easily abandon your green card before it expires.

Namely, the next time you want to visit the USA, make sure to take a nonstop flight out of Ireland that leaves from an airport that has CBP preclearance.

After checking in for your flight, and clearing security screening, you will arrive at the CBP check pig y.  When you get to the CBP officer, present your green card, say you wish to file I-407 to abandon your green card, and finally you request admission to the USA under a B-2 status.

If you wait until after your green card expires, then you will need to make an appointment with a USA embassy or consulate to abandon your green card.
