That's very unfortunate and extremely frustrating. It also seems to be quite inefficient. Wife and I have been apart for 3 years and I literally live on the border of US and Canada. It's crazy to me that this process takes this long. We did a mental calculation of when we would be DQ'd, get our interview date, and complete the interview. It all seemed to line up quite well and now it's looking like there's a strong chance it will be delayed another 3 months.

Thanks for your response and the support!

We are very much the same - we keep making final plans to move over, then something happens to push it back. Really frustrating, just hope to never think about it once it's over!

Congrats on the DQ! Do you have a rough idea of when you expect to have your interview scheduled? I know it varies by consulate.

Thank you - For London it seems to be moving quite well, so i'm hoping we will have an interview date before the end of the month. (Trying to be realistic and not get hopes up..)

I am in the same boat I uploaded all my documents on October 22 and two weeks ago I got a request from NVC asking me to re-upload all of my marriage certificates which apparently I didn't included the urdu version of it and asked me to include w-2 and form 1099 as well so I had to upload the requested documents on Jan 22, 2022 and apparently despite almost two weeks I haven't heard any thing so it does seem like others are saying when ever a new document is being uploaded it seem to reset NVC clock.

I'm in the exact same position as you

I first uploaded everything on Aug 22nd (with 2019 tax return since my joint sponsor had not filed his 2020 one yet)

They reviewed on Nov 17th and said they needed the new tax return from my joint sponsor. Uploaded it the very next day

I've been waiting for a reply ever since 😢

Everything else is accepted except this one

So it does seem like the back of the line for me at least

Unfortunately, you do go back to the end of the queue when they ask you for additional documents. We had to resubmit a death certificate because they wanted a scan of the blank back side. We uploaded this within hours but it took them 3 months to accept. This has been the case with a lot of people. NVC is both extremely fussy and very very slow.

To follow up on this -

7th February we received our embassy appointment information, which is 2nd March appointment.

I also have my medical in London on the 24th Feb.

So, for anyone waiting to be interviewed in London, they are moving quickly!

Woow! That's so quick! Seeing people get DQd and their interviews scheduled gets me really excited for them because we all know how tedious and frustrating this entire process is. I just imagined myself having a March interview lol - that would be so nice!

Congrats and best of luck!

Thanks to both of you - And wishing all the luck for your wait times.

I'm very lucky to be applying from the UK, it seems that London is outperforming many other embassy location with the rate they are scheduling interviews.

I’m not sure where the belief came that you go to back of the line at NVC when uploading documents, that may be the case at USCIS with 130 stuff but NVC doesn’t do that, least not anymore if they use to.
Once you’ve been DQed, don’t submit anything more to them till AFTER you get your interview date, that can cause your interview date to get pushed back. Once you get your date tho your case is at the Consulate so you can upload the current tax transcripts or whatever documents may be new between being DQed and getting interview date. More important than uploading new ones tho, bring the new tax transcripts or other legal documents with you if you have them.

Our I-864EZ was rejected because apparently the last blank page was missing. So we resubmitted that on March 16th with the latest transcripts & w2 of 2021 too. I so pray & hope that they don't push us back in the queue & let us wait for another 3 months.

Hey guys quick question . So all my documents in NvC are showing accepted. But they were asking for my joint sponors 2020 tax because they still were not filed at the time we submitted all our other docs.

How long does NVC take to review additional documents if all others are accepted? Or do you go to the back of the line and have to wait another two months or so?

You go back to the end of the line LITERALLY! This happened to us, and it was VERY ACCURATE!

I was about to create a new thread asking about this but I'm glad to see one so recent.

I'm in a similar situation. All of our documents were accepted on January 25th. My wife (US citizen) had uploaded her tax return (w-2 forms) which was also accepted however on January 25th, NVC left a note asking us to submit her Tax Transcript from the IRS website. I read that a Tax Return is okay to submit but the Tax Transcript is reviewed more efficiently. We immediately uploaded the transcript on the same day. It has been just over a week and we haven't heard anything.

Concerned that we would end up right at the back of the line again, I called NVC today. I was on hold for an hour and a half. I was told by the customer service rep to refer to the NVC Timeframe page on their website which as of right now says they are reviewing documents submitted on October 26th. This would mean we are at the back of the line. I confirmed with him that even for an additional document submission where the rest have already been accepted, we still go all the way to the back? He said "yes, it's the same for everyone".

@Siddsgal seeing your response has given me some hope that it doesn't take this long. I'm hoping some more members on this forum respond with their timeframe for submissions of additional documents just in case your situation was a one-off for whatever reason.

We submitted our documents on September 14/2021 - They reviewed On December 13/2021 - We were missing one civil document, and we submitted hours later. After calling them, we were told the same thing, that we have to wait 3 more months for them to review it again. We were DQed in March 14/2022 (3 more months), and it was very accurate. I was checkeing their timeframes every week, and it was correct.

I called NVC this week and they said this was the case. 3 months each time a document is submitted 💔

Happened to me as well. Husband file for my sons petition and they need my W2 which is already submitted and Police Clearance. We submitted in Nov 2021 and receive request for additional documents on March 2022 sad that I need to wait another 3 months again. I filed for my son's petition last October of 2020

But does this happen when you submit something and it is your first submission and your documents have not even been reviewed by NVC yet for the first time? I submitted my joint sponsors I-864 on Aug 23 and then resubmitted a new I-864 on Sept 12 without having deleted the original document: I just uploaded and submitted it under additional docs with a note stating why I added a new one (it was because my joint sponsor left off the last letter in my husbands first name on accident)
