Wanna know when to expect IR1/Cr1 interview in Kenya

My case is still at NVC . Everything was approved on May 11 2021 by the NVC . Since then I have been waiting for interview. My office is Potomac. It would be helpful if I can get some information on how long you guys waited for interview . Thank you

The USCIS service center has no bearing on your case.  You are waiting for the embassy/consulate in Kenya to process everyone who has waited at NVC before you and is ready to process the batch of CR1/IR1 cases from your timeframe.

 

It looks like there isn't much information on Kenya.  There's a similar timeline to yours, where the couple was DQ'd in May 2021 and they are still waiting for the interview.

The only recent interview for Kenya was for someone whose NOA2 was in Jan 2021 and has their interview scheduled for Feb 10, 2022:

Hi - has your interview been scheduled yet? We just got DQ'ed a little over a month ago and are trying to get a sense for how long we should expect to wait for the interview to get scheduled.

Yes the interview was scheduled on beginning of April . But the wait time might be different for you . Mine took a year to get the interview after the Dq date . And mostly that was due to things being backed up in the immigration in Kenya  at the time . That’s just up to my knowledge. Since now the operations are running okay , I think it shouldn’t take that long .

Okay, thanks - thanks for responding so quickly and congrats on finally getting it scheduled! Trying to navigate the US immigration process on top of all the COVID delays has been pretty terrible

Uscis took over a year to approve my I130 and now your telling me I might wait another year to just get an interview from the Kenyan embassy to see my daughter. This is mentally draining. Pray for me people , I’m not okay with this process

That was just an estimate from my experience . However , it’s not the case now . Now I believe immigration offices have opened and things are a lot faster than before. So be hopeful
