I sent an email via asknvc to ask to withdraw

That was probably sufficient.  How long ago did you do that?  I don't know that you'll get any official letter about this.  You could do an inquiry after two or three months to check the status with NVC.  Obviously, you're in for a long haul to be together again, so it would be wise to be very confident in your relationship before filing again.  I would advise another visit first, if possible.  How long since you were last together in person?

Go with your intuition that led you to withdraw. It’s one thing to get mad at your significant other, but to be so fed up to the point you withdraw from THIS type of commitment? That’s a big deal. 🤔🤔

Thanks for the question. I actually didn’t have to refile. I sent another email to NVC and called and asked to withdraw. We have an interview scheduled! I hope the don’t bring it up.

You cannot take lawyers to consulate interviews.

@BabyJetz you might want to fly to Ghana as support but also

Everything might be okay at the interview. Your partner could receive a visa and successfully enter the US

BUT...

ETA: You probably want them to bring it up... this way you can confront the issue and make sure the petition is still valid.
