Hi everyone,

I applied 2/19 and got a notice date on 6/27 for a scheduled interview next month.

Applied in Southern California.

The above post was mine.

Just wanted to add that I had my interview yesterday, 8/4 and the officer said the letter for the oath ceremony date and time will be mailed to me

Let me know if any of you want to know more about the details of my interview experience (I ended up telling the officer about my speeding ticket since it was technically a citation), what I brought with me, and the test portion etc.

today (8/5) my case status changed and my oath ceremony has been scheduled. I was surprised that only one day after my interview, my case status has changed already and I saw the date and time of my oath taking ceremony (happening in two weeks).

I hope everyone here who are still waiting get an update soon.

i751 - filed 2/12/2021, Received Notice April 2021

N400 - filed 2/10/2022.

Got notice 2/5/2022 that my i751 has been transferred to National Benefit Center in MO to speed up processing.

Can someone that has gone through the same process throw more lights on whatever happened after?

Does it mean I will be scheduled for combo(i751 and N400) soon, and if so how soon? Thanks.

Im sure someone that has gone through the process would tell you their experience.. in most cases its a combo and the interview letter advises.

Someone in another thread .. or this thread i cant remember had an issue where they needed to get it sorted they had two different dates for both. Ofcourse human error and we told the person to speak to tier 2 to resolve it and also request infopass.

Just make sure your letter says combo.  Dont trust that the process would go through properly.

All the best.

I filed i751 in July 2020. Dint hear anything after biometrics until April 18, 2022 when it was transferred to NBC. i751 was approved May 16, 2022 and I got my 10yr GC without any interview.

N400 was filed in Feb 2022. N400 interview was done on July 26, 2022. Oath ceremony scheduled for Aug 19, 2022.

Office Location: Tampa, FL

Interview: 8/9/2022

Filed in February 2022

The officer was a very sweet friendly and compassionate lady. She made sure to make it non-stressful, it really depends who you get. They asked for appointment letter, passport and green card. If you recently had a baby, they will add Birth Certificate to the file. I was offered to have oath ceremony tomorrow, same location.

Had to confirm my name, my address, few questions on N400 were asked about oath and weapons (Yes or No).

Since I answered everything correctly, I was only asked 6 questions:

1) How many senators (100)

2) Who is the senator of your state

3) The border with Canada (New York)

4) What is the highest court (Supreme)

5) Who is the President of the US? (Joe Biden)

6) For how many years we elect senator? (6 years)

Write: Washington is the Father of our country. (You will be offered tablet and stylus)

Read a sentence.

Pretty pleasant experience! You got this, just breathe and smile.

Oath ceremony is over. Oath ceremony in Tampa was super quick, letter said it will start at 10am, they let you in 30 mins prior to that. By 10:15am we left the building. Done, done and done. No pics allowed inside, but you can take outside. Congrats to everyone, you are already on finish line!

Congrats! Were they letting you take any family members inside?

Hi DesiNavy,

Not in Tampa. If family member comes with you, they will only be allowed to wait outside of the building.

TIP:

For oath ceremony, something I suggest investing in is to order this (Amazon has them for $12-$15):

- U.S. Citizenship and Naturalization Certificate Holder

It will keep it protected and secured. We were given just certificate without any folder or protective case.

Also, make sure not to lose it, otherwise its $555 fee for replacement. 🙂
