Hello everyone. My green card interview is coming up in a few weeks, and I’m just wondering if the USCIS Sacramento office have an interpreter service on the phone or we should prepare for that by ourselves if necessary?

I’ve heard that some USCIS Offices have interpreter services and we don’t need to prepare for that.

Thank you in advance.

Stay safe and have a lovely day

I don't think you can count on it - for example, see https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/free-books/fiance-marriage-visa-book/chapter13-12.htm

I think the USCIS provides interpreters for asylum cases (only).

Hi, sorry I can’t answer your question about the interpreter, but I’m just wondering, when is your interview and when did you file the I-485? I am also a Sacramento AOS filer (filed January 2020). Been stuck in ‘Ready to be scheduled for an interview’ since June 2020…

Hello,

I filed the I-485 in November 2019. It took over two years ;-(

I used this inquiry last month and they set my appointment for the interview immediately. My interview is next week.  You may want to do that too. I wish you a good luck!

Don't be sad. Waiting for over two years means that if approved, you'll receive the 10 year GC and won't have to go through ROC! 🙌

Glad this worked out for you - good luck with the interview! I thought you could only submit a case inquiry if the case is outside of ‘normal processing times’ and the receipt date is before a certain date? Currently showing as May 2019 for Sacramento.

Oh, I didn’t know about the normal processing time for Sacramento. Maybe I was just lucky.  I had an interview today and it went well. Good luck to you too!
